Richard Hokule'a and Hikianalia

At 8:40am the whole school  went to Pt England school reserve because we went to visit  the two waka called Hokule'a and Hikianalia that come from Hawaii.

We walked down to Pt England beach and we saw some people from Hokulea. The whole school sat down on the wet grass  and the hokulea people were greeting us in their language. After that the other

waka came and then I got  confused  because I thought there only One waka. When both waka were in they started blowing their horn and then we started singing our waiata to them.

We kept singing the songs until the Waka came. We stopped singing when the man stepped forward and started greeting us some of the school in his language, but then he finished ans told us what he was talking about.

Lastly we started packing ,then ran to the sand to give them a high five. They told us to run then we walked down to the hall and Miss Nua told us we can have a holiday and I was really excited about it. After that we went back to class and had morning tea time.
