ReplyDeleteI'm Mark, a teacher working on the Summer Learning Journey. I know you get bored sometimes over the holidays so I thought I would remind you about the Summer Learning Journey you signed up for at the end of last term.
These holidays the Summer Learning Journey is all about travel and other cultures. It has heaps of different activities to do, and there are lots of students already participating. Some of the best things about the programme is that you can choose the activities you want to do, when you want to do them, and the points you earn from blogging and commenting can help you win prizes. There are also travelers, locals, and teachers commenting on everyone's blogs.
It is really, really important to practice your reading and writing over the holidays or you can lose some of what you learned last year. I call it feeding the wolf (your brain is the wolf) because if you don't feed it, it will get weak.
I hope to see you online, but at the very least, I hope you visit your local library and read some books. Happy New Year and do your best in everything you do!
