This Year as our parting koha for Pt England school we have design and painted our own kowhai these will mounted permanently as our kohaas year 8 of 2018 

What is Bedmas?, When you have math problems that take the use of different operation like ( Brackets, Exsponets, Bedmas, Multiplication, Addition, Subtraction )  and when you have a math question like 9 x 6 + ( 3 x 4 ) and always start from the order and cross out the ones thats not needed 

What makes a good leader?

Do you what know a good leader is? A great leader is a someone who supports their team, encouraged others, help people to reach their goal. Being a good leader is important because it can change peoples lives

An effective leader supports their team by encouraging them with motivation and for example my two coaches that coach me for Pakuranga Rugby United is always hyping me up.

A good leader should be positive towards his decision and action and always owning up there mistake.

Another way to be a leader should always help others to reach their goal because you never know they might end up being a prime minister and many things.

To summarise a good leader is also a great role model.

Cross Country

Last Friday we did our school cross country at Pt England school our school was into there house colours like Hikianalia is yellow, Te aurere is red, Hine moana is blue, Hokulea is green and that’s our house.

Colours also the race was about begin then we let the little kids to start first like the year ones and then they work up to the last race and that’s the year 8s after the race was we had water just to keep us hydrated when we finished the race.

Also there was sausage sizzle for 2 dollars but that during morning tea and lunch time probably for parents so they can eat something during the cross country but the end of the day we collapsed and packed for home time and mostly the whole school had sore legs like there calves.

Show Don't Tell

Today we are doing writing our literacy class are doing show or don't tell
we have to describe how racers when they feel about to start racing and when they
finished raceing

Hi my name is Richard my Group Created a project for school and we made balloon cars we are explaining about second law of force and motion about thrust and acceleration my Group names are Lishana, Kelly and Sophia.

Our group got the stuff to make the balloon cars but we tried to put it together as one and the results were really poor cause it seemed not to work so we failed.

Letter to Mr Vanhorn

Dear  Mr Van Horn

My name is Richard and I am 13 years old, I will be turning 14 next year on May. I was born in Samoa and came to New Zealand and raised in South Auckland, Mangere and I only have 2 siblings, a younger brother who is 10 years old and a Little sister which is 9 and there names are AJ and Nina. Also I am cambodian and German also Samoan. What Language do you speak?

My favourite sport is Rugby and Tag also Rugby league, and I quite enjoy playing them. Also my role  model for sports is Joseph Parker my Dad has very good relationship with Joseph Parker Dad cause they knew each other when they were little kids and they like fishing and they still go fishing.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

My Favourite Subject is Maths because I love the challenging questions and I get to learn different strategy also getting to learn with my buddy’s.

                      Attitude Talk with Tony

Hi guys.

Guess what we had this guy called tony he's that person came to talk about something like who am I, First he talked about himself and where he grew up  he grew at Tripoli road and he went to tamaki college also he's half paikea and half Samoan.

Tony was talking about these 2 boys and they are from Detroit from america tony said they have been through hard times cause there dad hates them and he's part of a gang but one of the brother chosed to follow his fathers foot step to be part of a gang and do drugs and stuff, Like thats one the dumb thing to do but the other brother chosed something else he dicided to work hard on school and after that he became a mayor also this lady came to see the brothers so she went to the brother that was in prison and she ask him " How did you end up in prison" then the brother said " I'd follow my dad foot step" and she continued to ask question also she done the same thing to the other brother and thats my favourite part what tony was talking about.

How to prevent getting sick

Today our literacy class is writing about how to prevent getting sick. What it means is going to be writing about how to keep yourself healthy my 1st Idea is stay away from sick people cause you never if your to get sick and it’s really important to wash your hands every time when you finished coming from the toilet and also use soap and use clean water.

We can also get sick for getting dehydrated like if you don’t drink for 3 weeks your body will stop working and you end in hospital or somewhere else also you can get sick for touching door knobs like if someone else didn’t wipe there bum and touch the doorknob but you can a clough and open the door.

It’s really important to use sunscreen cause its really good for body and your face also legs and also saves your lives and other peoples also it keeps yourself from skin cancer that's why you should use sunscreen 24/7 but only use it when got to the beach or somewhere else

And these are my 3 ways to not get sick and kids Stay hydrated.

Meeting new kids from team

Hi my name is Richard and this year is my last year I know its hard for me to leave but i'm leaving to college but at the same I want to leave and this is the best year cause there new kids from team 4 and team 5 to be honest it feels good having them at the same time there annoying its like having little brother and little sister but most of all they are all good and hard workers
